Statement

A statement a rep will believe

Send the deals, the rate, the attainment, what is missing, and who to ask. A single total gets a screenshot reply. The statement should match the number you already reviewed, and it should name the plan version. The person to ask is the manager for credit and finance for the math.

What to put on it

Example statement · fictional rep · not a customer payout

Jordan Lee — October 2026

  • Quota and attainment: Example quota: $100,000. Example bookings that counted: $130,000. Attainment: 130%.
  • Rate applied: Example marginal rate: 8% of the first $100,000 in bookings, then 12% of the next $30,000.
  • Deals that counted: Northstar expansion — $80,000 — 100% credit. Acme renewal — $50,000 — 100% credit.
  • Missing or still open: Evergreen expansion — $20,000 — not included until the manager confirms credit.
  • Who to ask: Ask the manager about credit. Ask finance about the math.
  • Plan version: FY2026 v2, frozen October 1.
  • Example total: $11,600, equal to the listed deal lines under the example rate.

Why the email gets copied

If the statement is a screenshot pasted into a new email for every rep, the fields above are what that screenshot is trying to carry. One template with those fields replaces the paste. The approval order before it goes out is on the payroll page.

What this page does not do

It does not show a live CompDay statement, and it does not say reps already trust the product. The Motivate page is the product description.
