What counts
Sold this month, runs later
A deal signed in September that does not start until November can be booked in September and paid when it runs. Write which date the plan uses, and show the bookings, the amount that ran this month, and the balance still to come. If the export’s date field is wrong, the formula is not the problem.
Three numbers on the same deal
Example deal · not a customer payout
- Signed in September for $120,000.
- Runs November through January, $40,000 a month.
- In October the rep has sold $120,000, run $0, and still has $120,000 to come.
- In November the rep has run $40,000, with $80,000 still to come.
What this page does not do
It does not set an accounting policy. It tells the person running commissions which date the plan pays on, so the statement can show sold, run, and still to come. See the commission statement for the fields a rep can read.
